Squad 12 is a 2005 CSI Rescue Pumper that is built on a Spartan Diamond Chassis. The unit is a State of Michigan Licensed Medical First Response vehicle and is our second due unit for Emergency Medical Responses and first due for Automobile Accident Calls, and can serve as a back-up Class A pumper if one of our primary units is out of service. It carries 500 gallons of water, 30 gallons of Class A foam, and a full compliment of emergency medical and firefighting equipment, including an automatic defibrillator. The Waterous 1250 gpm mid-ship mounted pump is controlled from a curb-side operators control panel. The unit also has an extendable Command Light Tower that can direct the light from six 500 watt lights on any emergency scene. Four hitch receivers allow the use of a portable winch for various applications. Storage for numerous pieces of cribbing for vehicle extrication along with additional Haz Mat response equipment, and also can be utilized as a Command Post.
