AUBURN/WILLIAMS FIRE DEPARTMENT COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship Information and Instructions
Purpose: To provide one, three hundred dollar ($300.00) grant to a qualified candidate in the pursuit of studies at any university, college, or community college.
Eligibility: Competition for the Auburn/Williams Fire Department Scholarship is open to any student who:
a. Is currently a high school senior
b. Is a resident of either the City of Auburn or Williams Township
c. Has been accepted to a university, college, or community college, as a full-time, first year student
d. Has a minimum 3.00 G.P.A.
Application Procedure: To become eligible for this scholarship each candidate must:
a. Fill out his or her part of the application.
b. Deliver the application material to the Auburn/Williams Fire Station on or before 5 PM on Friday April 30, 2010. The selection committee will consist of the Chief and four active members of the Auburn/Williams Fire Department who are appointed by the Chief. There will be as many recipients as funds are available, each receiving $300.00 at the discretion of the selection committee. The scholarship check will be a joint check, payable to the University and the recipient. The scholarship recipient(s) will be announced at the Annual Dinner of the Auburn/Williams Fire Department on May 22, 2010.
