It is the mission of Williams Charter Township to provide for the health, safety, and well being of all the citizens of Williams Township by providing municipal leadership dedicated to democratic principles, sound fiscal management and planning, and by preserving and enhancing the features that make Williams Township unique in order to improve the quality of life for present and future generations.

Williams Charter Township is located in the southwest corner of Bay County, Michigan, with a 2010 census population of 4,772. We are centrally located between the cities of Bay City, Midland, and Saginaw and are only minutes from MBS International Airport, Delta College, Saginaw Valley State University, Northwood University, and many shopping and dining opportunities.
The township surrounds the City of Auburn, population 2,011, with boundaries of Townline Road to the north, Hotchkiss Road to the south, Eight Mile Road to the east, and Bay Mid County Line/Rockwell Road to the west.
Williams Township is part of the Bay City Public School District. Western High School, Western Middle School, and Auburn Elementary School are all conveniently located in the City of Auburn.
Williams Township and the Auburn area provides a great place to live and raise a family. Our residents enjoy a great park, summer recreation programs, and an outstanding volunteer Fire Department.
